Alice Emily Carl Buck, 94 departed this life on February 14, 2014. The funeral was held at Heyworth Christain Church on February 18, 2014 and she was buried at Long Point Cemetery just south of Heyworth with Earnest. She was born on October 21, 1919 near Wapella, Illinois. Alice was the youngest and last living child of Noah and Nettie Carl. She married Earnest R. Buck on January 1, 1938. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1996. Alice and Earnest had four children, Phyllis Heppenstall of Auburn, Wash.; Duane Buck of Lawrence, Kan; Kay Jewell of Edwardsville, Ill.; and Rita Powers of Evergreen, Colorado.
Alice graduated from Heyworth High School in 1937. She was primarily a wife, mother and homemaker. Aunt Alice will be missed greatly but always remember in our hearts as she has now joined her father, mother, brothers and sisters in heaven.
